Boris Wade Connor, 18, of Newark, is facing multiple murder charges for his role in the shooting of 34-year-old Kamron Michael Lewis on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Police say that at approximately 12:20 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting that was reported in the 6700 block of Basket Switch Road in Newark.
Deputies there located Lucas, who was declared dead at the scene, while investigators identified Connor as a suspect in the murder.
Investigators said that Connor and Lucas, who knew each other, were involved in an argument, during which, Connor pulled out a handgun and shot Lucas before fleeing.
A trooper from the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack and a deputy from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office later located Connor draining with another person and he was apprehended during a subsequent traffic stop.
Connor has been charged with:
- First-degree murder;
- Second-degree murder;
- First-degree assault;
- Second-degree assault;
- Multiple firearms-related charges.
He is being held at the Worcester County Detention Center awaiting a bond review with a Worcester County District court judge.
